In Graph 3, the phrases “names for LSD” and “street names for LSD” appear in the listing of the top 100 two and three word combinations for LSD searches, but are only 67th and 69th respectively (total of 7,311 searches over a one-year period). So, what are popular LSD queries?

The total of the first three phrases alone, “make LSD”, “how to make LSD”, and “making LSD”, amounts to a staggering 378,714 searches. Numerous phrases that refer to a recipe for LSD throughout Graph 1 further demonstrate the popularity of this topic.

Other interesting searches of note are “girl on LSD” (45,015), which references a controversial 1994 song from Tom Petty, and “cat on LSD” (40,667), a popular 1957 video on YouTube featuring a government experiment of a cat given LSD. This fascination with LSD themes may have something to do with its colorful beginnings.
