Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms - Access to Information

This innovative alcohol addictions research also shows that the tendencies of search patterns for the term “alcohol withdrawal” are often related to “alcohol withdrawal symptoms”. The exception is “alcoholism withdrawal” at nearly 27,000 annual searches.

After “alcoholism withdrawal”, “alcohol withdrawal symptoms” is most prevalent, at 10,899 occurrences per year, followed by “symptoms of alcohol withdrawal” (3,521) and “alcohol withdrawal treatment” (3,383). The trends for the remaining top 30 phrases are less pronounced, with a variety of terms being typed in search engines.

Others reflect societal trends. For example, “medication”, at 642, is followed rather closely by “homeopathy”, which appears in the results 411 times. “Herbal” is just breaking onto the scene with 9 occurrences. With alternative treatment a growing movement, it will be interesting to track the use of herbal treatments into the future.
