The next eight phrases, which all relate to methamphetamine abuse (including “meth” and “crystal meth”), total over 24,000 searches. This dominance of methamphetamine over methadone abuse is consistent with traditional offline addictions statistics, which commonly show methamphetamine abuse to be a more prominent problem than methadone abuse.

From Graph 3, it becomes evident that methamphetamine abuse is the greater of the two abuse issues. Several particularly disturbing phrases include “methamphetamine abuse in schools” and “methamphetamine child abuse”.
